Biography

NOTHGARD is a German Melodic Death Metal band founded in 2009.

To date, they have released four full-length albums, one orchestral EP, and various singles. Their two most recent records entered the official German album charts, while the orchestral EP secured a position in Denmark’s classical music charts.

Since the very beginning, the band has been an active live presence, performing countless international shows and tours across Europe, and appearing at renowned festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, Masters of Rock, Rock Harz, 70000 Tons of Metal, and many more.

After two years of silence, NOTHGARD returns in autumn 2025, celebrating their comeback with the music video “OPIUM DREAMS”, released on November 13th via Apostasy Records.
