Biography

Sorcery was founded in 1986 an was a pioneering band in the early Death Metal scene in Sweden. After some years and three demos, they released their first EP “Rivers Of The Fead/The Rite Of Sacrifice” in 1990. The year after they landed a deal for their debut album “Bloodchilling Tales”. After numerous line-up changes the band came to a stop in 1997 and was not resurrected again until 2009. After doing few demos the band recorded their first comeback album “Arrival At Six” for Xtreem Music in 2013. It was followed in 2016 by “Garden Of Bones”, and then in 2019 by the “Necessary Excess Of Violence”. Current lineup of the band features the two original members: are Ola Malmström on vocals and Paul Johansson on guitar. The lineup is completed by Johan Vikholm (guitar), Tommy Holmer (drums) and Mikael Carlsson (bass). In 2026 the band celebrate 40 anniversary, and will release new album titled “The Immaculate Sin”.
