Biography
One of the UK’s longest running extreme metal bands and some would consider one of the forefathers of the 2nd wave of Black Metal, Hecate Enthroned carved their name in the hearts of the scene with raw aggression and attitude and have honed this in to the blade-like sharpness that still cuts profoundly today.
2025 saw the 30 anniversary of the band’s first release, the now legendary “An Ode for a Haunted Wood” demo, whilst 2026 sees us unleash our 10th release: “The Corpse of a Titan. A Lament Long Buried.”
2023 saw the anniversary of another of our celebrated albums: “Dark Requiems… An UnslientMassacre” turned 25 years old. Fan favourite “The Slaughter of Innocence (A Requiem for the Mighty)” celebrated 26 years, and we plan to share our darkest love of these releases by
performing our own brand Symphonic Blackened Death Metal, for our loyal fans.
