Biography

Since the founding of German death-metal band Scalpture in 2009, they have worked their way to becoming an essential member of the national and international metal scene. Throughout their releases ‘Panzerdoktrin’ (2016), ‘Eisenzeit’ (2020), and ‘Feldwärts’ (2022), they have developed a unique style without compromising their roots and values. With the upcoming release of ‘Landkrieg’, they will continue to evolve musically with each release, while staying true to what they do best: Death Metal!

At the core their music and lyrics stands the overarching theme of war. Through intensive historical research, the horror and senselessness of the darkest hours of human history are encapsulated in atmospheric death metal that increasingly crosses genre boundaries and emphasizes values such as tolerance, peace, and prudence. While walking on well-known death metal territory, Scalpture always strives to include different facets of all kinds of heaviness. Within the crevices of every song, there are certainly elements of various metal styles, reflecting the vast diversity of the band members’ musical influences.
