Biography

Wacken 2007 winners, Torture Squad is a metal band founded in Brazil in the early 90s, The remaining members Castor (bass) and Amilcar (drums) maintained an uninterrupted career for more than 30 years , The frontwoman Mayara Puertas and the guitarist Rene joined the band in 2015, and so released 2 studio albuns and performed at major metal festivals such as Rock in Rio, Summer Breeze, and Mexico Metal Fest, touring and conquering fans worldwide.

In 2023 the band signed with the Italian record label “Time to Kill Records” for the worldwide release of their new album, “Devilish” and reached over 500,000 plays on Spotify, with listeners from more than 100 countries.

The promotional tour for the new album included a performance at the Summer Breeze Brasil Festival in 2024, featuring the legendary singer Leather Leone as a special guest on the song “Warrior” and being one of the support bands on Sepultura’s farewell tour.
