Biography

Artillery were formed in 1982, in Taastrup, a suburb of Copenhagen.

While the Danish band Artillery established themselves as one of the leading exponents of thrash metal in the mid-80s, they remain a formidable band 40 years later. With their latest EP, titled “Made In Metal” (2026), they demonstrate once again that they haven’t lost any of their essence as forges of pure, relentless steel.

In 1987 the Danish thrash band Artillery released the album “Terror Squad”.
With overwhelming great reviews.
Songs from that album are considered classics in the genre.
Now 40 years after the release we take that album on an anniversary tour.

Songs like The Challenge, Terror Squad, In the Thrash, Let The Be Sin,
are always audience favorites, and still requested by fans at shows for 40 years.

Artillery are constantly touring, and every year they play about 70 shows all
over the World. As Michael Stützer says, ‘if the fans want to see us, we will come’.

Last year, Artillery played countries like Germany, Portugal, Spain,
France, Denmark, Netherlands, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, China and more.
