Biography

The band was founded in 2005 by Manuel Trummer (guitar) and Florian Kreuzer (bass). Currently the band consists of Markus Becker (vocals), Markus Ullrich (guitar), Coralie Baier (guitar), Florian Kreuzer (bass), Mario Weiss (drums) and Manuel Trummer (composition only). The band has performed at many underground and renowned festivals over the years.

In 2010, the debut album “The Golden Bough” was released; the album became album of the month in the magazine Rock Hard, among many other specialized media

The second album “The White Goddess” was published on 4 October 2013 and received positive reviews again in the press. It entered the German charts at number 65.

With “The Course of Empire” (2019), the third album by the Bavarian epic metal band, came the maturity and more consolidated sound of Atlantean kodex.

Musically, Atlantean Kodex stand at the crossroads of Viking-era Bathory, early Manowar, the towering doom of Candlemass, and the mystical aura of Manila Road. They have distilled these influences into a sound unmistakably their own: a unique, hymn-packed style, balancing pathos, melancholy and heroic defiance.
