The orginal line up is back!

Few names carry as much weight in the history of Swedish death metal as GRAVE. Formed in the late 1980s and emerging from the same scene that produced Entombed, Dismember and Unleashed, GRAVE helped forge a sound that became one of Sweden’s most influential exports in extreme music. In 2025, for the first time in more than three decades, the musicians who set that history in motion took the stage together again.

THE FOUNDATION

GRAVE’s story begins in 1986, when guitarist/vocalist Ola Lindgren, Jörgen Sandström, and drummer Jens “Jensa” Paulsson started playing together under the name Corpse. After several early incarnations and demos, the band became GRAVE, rounded out by bassist Jonas Torndal, and signed to the then-young Century Media Records.

THE CLASSIC ERA

In 1991, this four-piece unleashed GRAVE’s landmark debut, Into the Grave – raw, punishing and unmistakably Swedish, it remains one of the defining statements of the genre’s golden age. You’ll Never See… followed in 1992, pushing the band’s sound further as Sandström stepped onto bass alongside his vocal and guitar duties, and Soulless closed out the run in 1994 with massive production and the band’s most memorable songwriting yet. More than three decades on, this trilogy remains essential listening – a body of work that helped define an entire generation of extreme metal.

THE REUNION

In April 2025, Lindgren, Sandström, Torndal and Paulsson – the four musicians who set GRAVE’s course from the very beginning – shared a stage together for the first time in more than 30 years, debuting the reunited line-up at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. What was initially planned as a handful of festival appearances quickly grew into something much bigger: throughout 2025, GRAVE’s old-school line-up tore through stages across Europe, including major appearances at Brutal Assault and Party.San Metal Open Air. The momentum has only continued – 2026 has taken the reunion worldwide, with the band now bringing their classic set to audiences across Europe and Latin America.

THE SHOW

The GRAVE reunion is built entirely around the material that put the band on the map – a set drawn from the first three albums:

– Into the Grave (1991)

– You’ll Never See… (1992)

– Soulless (1994)

Delivered by the musicians who forged that sound more than three decades ago, this is not a tribute act revisiting history from the outside – it’s the real thing, live.
