Biography

VULCANO are without a doubt one of the most important, if not most important Metal band from Brazil. The band was founded in 1981 and debuted in 1983. While the first EP they released could be labeled as a Heavy Metal one, band’s style quickly evolved into a violent mixture of Black and Thrash Metal. VULCANO became a leading band of a wave that gave the world cult acts such as SEPULTURA, SARCOFAGO, MUTILATOR or HOLOACUSTO. A wave, that changed the landscape of the Metal scene, and influenced legions of Thrash, Death and Black Metal bands, including the infamous Scandinavian Black Metal inner circle of the early ’90s.

With 18 releases behind their belt, incl. cult classics such as “Live” LP from 1985 or the studio albums such as “Bloody Vengeance” (1986) or “Anthropophagy” (1987), VULCANO doesn’t give up and present new studio album entitled “Epilogue”, and prepare a series of reissues of their classic recordings.
